Soleil Adrienne Frances Min 민태양 (Min Tae-Yang) is an only child born to a Filipino mother and Korean father who are Canadian immigrants. She spent most of her childhood in their hometown in Montréal, Canada. Having been exposed to different cultures of the city, Soleil grew fond of different artistic talents— mostly focusing on sketching different styles of clothing which eventually led her to wanting to pursue a career in fashion design.Occasional trips to the Philippines with her mother made Soleil want to stay, continuing her studies in fashion design in De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde. At the age of 20, she began to live independently, miles away from her parents and the city that gave her the desire to seek this path. Once graduated, however, she struggled to find a job related to her degree, almost wanting to return to Montréal, but after bumping into one of IMG Models’ recruiter during their vacation in the Philippines, Soleil was complimented for her looks and got encouraged to submit an entry to their scouting platform to which she hesitantly obliged.In the span of 5 years living in the Philippines, Soleil felt her life shift abruptly. She was able to build her name in the industry, no longer only
known as one of the top models in a famous modeling agency, but she’s now also recognized as a designer working with different brands.At 26, Soleil was able to release her own online-based clothing line that eventually collaborated with brands she’s worked with before. A year after the successful launching of her brand, she then made a big decision of adopting a little girl, naming her Frances Aurelia. Just like her mother, Aurelia is Filipino-Korean and obtained Canadian citizenship because of her mother's nationality.As Soleil’s name translates to “sun” or “sunshine”, she picked little Aurelia’s name as it meant “golden” or “the golden one”.

✶ Soleil met Sebastian when she was searching up photographers to help her for her auditions to become a model, stumbling upon the latter's website and immediately gaining interest in his artistic style. During their photoshoot, the two easily agreed with each other's ideas, almost as if they were able to read each other's minds.After getting accepted by the known agency, Soleil chose Sebastian as the first one to know, eventually leading to him being her go-to photographer during the start of her career up until now. ✶ During finals week, the Fashion Design department held a small campus fashion show with Soleil being one of the participants and organizers of the event while Mikael, being in Culinary Arts, was one of the chosen students to prepare and serve food for the guests that watched the program. Their first interaction consisted mostly of snarky comments to one another, as if getting on each other's nerves was the best way to get through the tiring event.Though they didn't immediately grow close after, the constant playful banter to one another ended up forming the dynamic of their friendship, unexpectedly developing a closer bond with each other even after college— their habit of mocking each other never faded as the friendship continues.
